Ryder Cup 2014 - Gleneagles
The European Tour and Ryder Cup teams challenged PVE to come up with a ‘never seen before’ spectator fan experience for their client Standard Life Investments for the 2014 Ryder Cup at Gleneagles.
At the heart of the spectator village we created ‘The Ryder Cup Team Experience’ within a 40 metres x 25 metres tent. On entering the area fans had to choose which team they would play for: Team Europe or Team USA. The participants were welcomed by a video message from their respective Ryder Cup Team Captains and went on to compete in a series of golf challenges including attempting the 18th tee shot at Gleneagles After being announced onto the tee. As fans moved through the zone they were chanted on by European or USA fans to give a real sense of the drama and pressure of representing your country.
At the end of the experience your wrist band was scanned and scores added to the rolling scoreboard. Over 4000 people enjoyed the experience.
