The President's Cup 2017

The Idea

2017 was the 4th time Provision had been approached to support the Presidents Cup Interactive Zone, being held within the tournament at the famous Liberty National Golf Club. Working for the PGA Tour and event sponsors CitiBank, the team were told the size of the space they had to activate in, that the sponsor wanted to maximise the branding opportunities and to fill the area with engaging golf activities for people to enjoy.   

The Process

There are a lot of keen golfers who work at Provision (as you can imagine!) and the team asked them what they liked most about golf and what they thought could be fun. The creative team then took these ideas and adapted them into a set of games. The design team looked at the brandable spaces and came up with creative solutions to increase brand positioning throughout the zone.

The Product

A number of activities, as stipulated in the brief that included:  a chipping challenge and bunker zone, a long putt challenge and a NYC themed putting course featuring famous landmarks. The team also created a photo opportunity with Justin Thomas, and created a fully immersive first tee experience.

In addition to these activities there were a series of simulators installed which were dedicated to the Citi 44 Million Yard Challenge.

Amazingly over the course of the weekend golfers taking part on the series of simulators drove the 43,825,760 yards it takes to circle the globe.
